Well after messin around in a few different areas of modeling,and getting kinda burnt out on most subjects I decided to venture off into left field.I purchased a brand new Pnzr. IV ausf. G Kharkov LAH smart kit. While getting the lower chassis fitted out with the TANK WORKSHOP fighting compartment,or should I say the pieces I wanted to use,and a little something I got from the Mickster over in Grand Forks.This is what I’ve got so far.
I personally think it came out pretty cool so far. Just imagine an ausf.G fitted with a snowplow! And you know that crappy CMK thing thats been on the market for so long ,well.
I’m doing what I can to make that presentable also. It’s definately been a worthwhile diversion. Oh and please no grumbling about how this vehicle was never built because. A paint job and some whitewash and she’ll be ready to display.[H]

Thanks Tigerman,as I said it’s nice to try something different.The Plus Models medium german snowplow was a freebie,on account that an order mix -up resulted in a nearly one year delay in getting an order,and the kit was designed for the 4500 series Mercedes Benz truck.The four wheel drive conversion pieces fit nicely under the old Italeri Opel Blitz.The CMK Bergepanzer IV kit came with a really rugged looking panzer kit that appears to be vintage motorized Tamiya, lots of photo-etch and even more clean-up and fab work.The photo was taken with the boom assembly temporarily set up. The interior will be visible through the hatches.Pieces used from the Tank Workshop set were the driver and radio operators positions,the transmission ,batteries and fuel tank. Naturally the floor over the fuel tank will be made from basswood/balsa,and lots of stowage items.A Verlinden engine compartment will also be used.Pics will be added as I progress through this build. Any comments and such are always welcome.[;)]
It reminds me of the halftracks used as snowplows by the railroads. IIRC they were in service many years.

Took a bit of searching to track this down.Thought I should give a bit of an update.
Quite a bit more interior work left to be done.The upper hull will be removable so the interior with all the tools and other stowage items as well as the driveline can be viewed. I was a bit rammy with the washes in places but as they say ,it will all come out in the wash, right!.
. I have taken a boatload of photos and will work on posting a link to the Photo-bucket album. As you see this is a fictitous vehicle belonging to the Grossdeutschland division. Also found the tactical symbol for panzer maintenance and repair.Or at least I believe it is.
. And a peek down the R.O’s station.
Greg it might not be fast enough to push snow aside but it sure would come in handy to clear a street or road of collapsed building debris.[Y]

I have to date only located a pic of a Pzr III with a straight plow blade.So I guess you can say it is a one-off,but also fictitous in nature.I had considered attaching some plow share like devices to the cutting edge to make it a mine plow.thanks fellas for showing your interest the comments are appreciated.[:D]
