Securing warp engine pylons-AMT's TOS 1/650 Enterprise

So, I’m almost finished with this bad boy, and all I need to do is glue in the warp engine/nacelle strut assembly into the hull. I’m torn on what glue to use, honestly. I’ve already painted and decaled the model, so I need to be careful, and I’m leaning towards good 'ol Testors Orange tube glue, just dribbling some in the bottom of the well in the hull, then inserting the engine pylon. What do you guys think? Is there a better way?

testers has worked for me for that exact model a number of times.

If you want something quicker, do the testers then add a drop of CA on the outside corner where it won’t be seen

Sigh Didn’t I used to be pretty good at this stuff? Man, what happened?

Well, I ended up using a touch n flow type bottle with Testors liquid. Only thing is, I tried to use the biggest diameter touch n flow tube I had, so I could drip a “pool” of cement into those wells in the hull, and then insert engines as per my plan. I ended up putting in too much cement and it overflowed onto the hull, down the side and dripping off the bottom. Damaged the paint pretty good and ruined that decal on the bottom. The good news is, it’s fixable with a little airbrush time and another coat of Future. So I guess there’s that.

All of our models must have one or two flaws, no? LOL

super glue (ca) but test fit it a few times and be quick about it
