did the biplanes in ww1 spefically the nieuport 17 have seatbelts?

Yes. What did they look like? Couldn’t tell ya.

There’s a little something in the back of my brain telling me that sometimes (not all the time) the seatbelts were nothing more than a length of rope! Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

You could also try Tom’s Model Works, they have PE sets for WWI planes grouped by country. British interior, German etc. .
