A quick question–I’m detailing the interior of a 1/48 Fw190D-9–what is the proper color for detail painting the photoetched seatbelts? I’ve seen anything from buff/creme to grey on other builds–what is the proper color? Thank you!

Found this on a review of Cutting Edge Luftwaffe belts:

New plane = cream color. (At least , this is what I’ve been told.)
As they age, they get dirty, more into the buff and tan tones. So, I guess it depends on what your modeling. The older the plane the darker the belts.
Well, I usually paint the seatbelts RLM 02, it looks like old belts, and it looks very good in my He-177 kit…
I saw a site that was detailing the restoration of a FW-190D-9 “white 11” and buried in that site was a picture of the completed seat with the harness and seatbelts. They were a bit more on the buff side - like a very light tan. Hope that this helps!
Thank you for your help everyone–I guess the consensus seems to be “light tan” for the belts.
Now…what about the driver’s side airbag? [:)]
