seat belt question

i know for all u pros out there ths miht a stupid question but how do u guy make them cuz they look great plz sharewhat u know

There are a couple of ways to go for seatbelts that I know of.

One is to use masking tape, cut into thin strips with Eduard photoetched buckles attached.

The other is to get the Eduard or other photoetch company’s seatbelt sets for the particular kit you are working on, if it is available.

I hope this helps and I’m sure that there are other tecniques as well. Maybe one of the other members knows of some other ways.

Another way is to use a brown paper bag and cut it into strips to fit the buckles.

I save the foil that is used on the neck of some wine bottles. It’s thin, holds its shape, is easy to cut, and one bottle’s worth will last for quite a few projects. Just attach the aftermarket buckles.

I buy a sheet of seatbelts that Eduard puts out. I buy the US ones and just 'em for everything. They do have British, german, etc. Costs a bit more than making them, but they look great.

And since I’m too lazy to make them… [:D]

Depending on scale, you can use typing paper, or medical tape.

I also use the wine bottle lead foil with PE buckles. getting harder to find. It is mostly onthe higher priced wines but fortunately I have a very good supply of foil. HIC[xx(]
