It seems clear and detailed photos of the interior of the SdKfz 251/8 ambulance model are hard to come by! Does anyone have photos they can share? Or is there an aftermarket conversion kit? I’m converting Tamiya’s old Ausf. C for a diorama.
BTW, did anyone else have fit problems with Dragon’s 251 Ausf. D 3-in-1, or is it my lack of recent experience alone (it was my first armor kit in probably 10 years)?

I was going to recomend that site too you! Those are the only pics of the interior I have seen. I know there are a few others out there. A member by the name of Petbat built this conversion a few months back. Maybe you could find a post by him and shoot him an email.
Thanks for the tip! I think my SdKfz 251/8 will just become a 251/1 modified in the field, I don’t think my scratchbuilding skills are up to the challenge yet!
MR Models of Germany has an ambulance conversion. It was made for the Tamiya 251/D but I’m sure it can be modified for the DML or AFV Club kits. The directions show lots of info about equipment placement – looks pretty comprehensive.
It’s an interesting subject – just WAY too many kits on my list ahead of this project. I’ve not opened the box in quite a while.
