Custom SDCS RX-78-2 I modified into the origin rollout variant. Not the prettiest thing in the world, but it was a fun palate cleanser I worked on for a couple months at lunch periods at the club at my school. Looking back there was a lot of things I would have done differently, but oh well. I used parts from the MG Origin kit & some left over HG scraps.

That’s a fun little set piece. Whenever I see models of this style I immediately see them in a Three Stooges routine.
I like the spent brass casings on the ground. Nice touch having them there. Are they made from clipped sprue?
Thanks! Yep! I cut them from sprue and hollowed them out with a vise!

Nice! For some reason that just never occurred to me till I saw this. Oh! You could heat the end and gently press it to create the rim. New technique added to the toolkit! Wish I had thought of this before.
Thanks!
Oh the heat is also a good idea! Though I don’t trust myself with flames haha don’t want to burn my fingers (or worse my house haha)
