Sd.Kfz. 10/7 - Demag - Feuerleitkraftwagen

A good day to you all.[:)]

My name is Frank Haspels (31), live and work in Amsterdam. I wanted to show my recent scratchbuildproject: the Sd.Kfz. 10/7 Feuerleitwagen. I took of with the Italeri #6443 as a basis to create another conversion of the famous Demag-series. The official conversion-designations go up to 10/5 and I moved on from that point.

Down here the SdKfz 10/6 Munitionskraftwagen (r) and the SdKfz 10/7 Feuerleitkraftwagen together. Both conversions needed the Italeri-kit #6443.

And down here the most recent status of the project. I used tamiya TS-46 for basecolour, which was and is going to be coated with a Revell 88-wash. Chippings are done with Vallejo German Grey. The trax are made with Tamiya XF-9 Hull Red, burnt sienna and Humbrol metal

There will be more later. Any comments , hints or tips are very welcome

Nice work![tup]

Is this a 'Luft ‘46 type idea, as it seems strange to have an armoured “Fire Control Cabin” box with a ‘cabrio’ drivers’ compartment?

I have seen pics of similar idea, in connection with the V2 rocket launchers.

Hi Jon [:)]

I’m not aware why the Germans choose for that combination.

I stand corrected,
But I enjoyed your work

Very interesting and well executed. Thanks for sharing.

About how many hours do you figure you have in the basic construction of the box? It looks pretty complex.

hi thehannaman [:)]

I’m not sure actually, because within every step I tend to think a lot. I presume it took me about 5 hours.

some images of my project this far…
