As a former Royal Canadain Air Cadet does a Schweizer 2-33 exsist in model form. I would love to have a little model of one.
I think you mean the 2-32, right? At least that’s the one I got my glider rating in. But I know nothing about a kit.
I’ve logged substantial left-seat time in almost 130 aircraft, but models exist of only about a dozen of them (Lockheed Connie, Learjet, Bonanza, Citation, UH-34D helo and a few others). Hard to find civilian-aircraft models in a world that adores weapons…

Sorry I am not sure of the number as I never got flying scolrship through cadets. Are Cessna 172’s an Diamond Katanas made in model form?
172 is, though I don’t recall the manufacturer–one of the cheap ones, something like Minicraft. Never seen a Katana kit, though, and I suspect that if there is, it’s an expensive, limited-run European resin thing.

The 2-33 is a strut braced, high wing 2 seat trainer. It has a steel tube, fabric covered fuselage, and an aluminum wing. Its a very popular, rugged trainer. The 2-32 is an all aluminum mid-wing glider which seats 3 (sort of . . .) with 2 scrunched together in the backseat. The 2-32 is very popular with glider ride businesses because of the 3 seat capability - the pilot sits in front and the passengers together in the back. The stick in the back is removed for this. They are higher performance than the 2-33, and aren’t considered trainers. The 2-33 is cheaper to own and a much better trainer. I heard recently that there has never been a fatality in a 2-33 – not sure if that’s true or not, but there certainly have been in 2-32s. -Bret
I saw a badge on a flight suit today it is 2-33.
