While I’m a scale aircraft RC nutcase, I’ve found that scale detailing info of fine plastic models is very useful when building large scale (85 in. +) models. I look forward to picking your brains for suggestions and comments. Mike93

I am a convert from the flying model domain. But with RC, I was not a very good pilot, so did not like to fly in any wind. I got tired of having the weather (especially after I moved to Minnesota) control my hobby, so switched to static scale. I do occasionally build a rubber scale free-flight, though.
Anyway, happy to have you with us. I am sure I am a better scale modeler today because I bring over some experience from my RC scale days, and I know that some scale techniques from the static scale world have been carried into the flying world.
Oh yeah Don,
I scratch build .40 - .60 scale RC planes (I prefer the biplanes) and both hobbies complement each other very well.
BTW I learned to fly in Montana, so I don’t know how to fly in “nice” weather.
I’m one of those 1/4 flyers. The bigger the better. [snWcm]
