Here’s my AM SBD-5 built OOB. I wish all kits had the level of quality that Accurate Miniatures offers. I have a TBM almost done, and a Mitchell on the shelf. These kits just blow me away! After using a half tube of filler on an Academy P-38, It’s a pleasure to assemble something that actually fits.

Anyway, I hope you like my Dauntless.

That is indeed inspirational. OOB? WOW! What did you use for paint. It looks like it laid down beautifully? Are those the kit decals? rangerj

Thanks for the compliments guys. Yes those are the kit decals. I used MM enamels,and I rubbed the plane down before the polly scale flat coat. Great stuff.

Thanks again everyone! The rigging techniques I used were actually learned from an article in FSM. I attached 2# test monofiliment line to small springs I made from very fine wire. The insulators are drops of white glue, teased into shape.

BTW are you guys talking about the 1/72 Academy P-38? I´ve got that kit at home and it looks so good in the box. Now you´ve got me worried!
