Safe modeling practices

The more I read about the hobby the more I realize that there are many potential hazzards associated with it. There are many of us out there that probably need to be made aware, or reminded[:D], of the hazzards and how to model safely. Airbrushing first comes to mind but I know there are other aspects of the hobby, i.e. glues ,thinners and chemicals, that should be looked at.

What I would like to see is a list of best practices to keep those of us in the hobby, as well of those just getting started in the hobby, safe.

Well, first off I’d have to say ventilation. We use a lot of harmful and caustic chemicals and create a lot of harsh dust. None of those are very good for the breathing apparatus![:D]
