Roscoe Turner Invitational 2025

Hi everyone!

FSM will be at the Roscoe Turner Invitational this Saturday, April 5, taking photos of models, shooting video, and covering the show. If you’re going, make sure to check your models often, we may have tagged one for a photograph. And make sure to come over and say hi.

Sounds like a great time Tim. I hope everyone enjoys themselves.

There were more ship models, right? At least, I’d like to hope so.

Just a handful of ships this year.

Well that’s pretty depressing. :disappointed_relieved:
Seems like there’s less and less ship models being entered/displayed at contests wherever I go or look.

It’s a cycle. Last year it was wall to wall.

There were a lot of great builds this year. Looked like a good showing…minus the ship category. Thank you for posting all of the photos…greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for going and taking these photos Tim. Looks like a great venue for this show. There are some talented modelers/artists out there.

It’s a well-run show and draws a big crowd. Would recommend.

Nice pictures, very talented model builders there.

That looks like it was a fantastic experience. I admit to being just a little bit jealous of those who reside nearby to these large shows. Like many others on this forum (gathered from what I’ve read) I live too far away from these venues to be able to make the trip under normal circumstances. Closest for me would probably be a 4 hour flight.

I’m also amazed at the amount of space reserved for the shows. Unfortunately space is usually at a premium at the smaller shows I’ve attended, with tight aisles, tables just a little too crowded, some models with just not enough space to be seen properly.

Thanks @Tim_Kidwell1 and the rest of the staff who allow us more than just a glimpse into these events. Please keep the pictures coming. Do you have any ideas about overall attendance numbers, numbers of models on display and how many modellers actually entered a kit in the show?

That’ll be included in the show report in a couple of weeks with clean shots of a selection of models taken at the FSM booth. SPOILERS: 578 models
