A rolling mill is used to make coils (or rolls) of steel or aluminium or brass.

That woud make for a great scratch-building project … perhaps blueprints could be obtained from somewhere … depending upon how complex you made it … sounds like it would be fairly easy … you know lots of right-hand angles and such.
