Roden - Spare parts - Customer support

Hey Y’all,

I’m new to the modeling forums, but here I am.

I’m looking for some tips, experience to be shared, opinions, even hope to be frank.

The background: i purchased a Kraz-255B, an awesome looking kit ofRoden. The kit arrived, but sadly the way they packed the sprues, quite a lot of parts suffered from damage, becoming bent or damaged. The worst thing is, the chassis is bent significantly.

I contacted Roden’s email (roden@roden.eu), detailing the damages. They initially replied quite fast, asking for my address, in order to send me the replacement sprues by post. I sent them my address info and then.. waited a bit, then waited a bit more.
The asking for and providing of address info emails were exchanged on the 9th of March, so coming up on 2 months now slowly.

I sent them a 2 emails since, trying to ask for an update on whether the package is posted or what the status on the whole thing is, but i received no answer at all.

I also heard no news from any package from the local/national postal service or other delivery providers.

For additional info:

  • I’m based in Hungary, so with Ukraine (where Roden is based afaik) being a neighbouring country, i thought the package would reach me sooner.
  • I talked with Yulia Kravchenko, but i’ve seen others talk with other employees or reps of Roden

Any suggestion would be appriactiated.

Thanks

With the war going on between Russia and Ukraine they might be having some problems. I know that it seems like every other day we see something on the news about more attacks and different cities being hit, including Kyiv.
You might be able to get ahold of them through Facebook though. They just had an update 5 days ago, but they didn’t have one before that since back in December. It’s worth a try. I hope this helps.

I will try to contact them on Facebook, thanks for the info.

Yeah, i would fully understand any delay or disruption along the way, either due to the war or any other reason.
Has to be said, that it’s my first time contacting a retailer or manufacturer, and i haven’t really received packages internationally before either.

I have a positive attitude towards them, my worry most likely is coming simply from the excitement for the model kit.
It would be cool to have a little more response, as to what the status of the package is, but i don’t want to get ahead of myself. They probably have enough things to do, which is fair enough.

My nerves will probably get the best of me (as to worry about it :D) until the thing eventually arrives, but i hope all is well for them.

Happy Sunday Funday everyone,

I’m overjoyed to report, i was able to reach Roden’s team and the spare parts have already found their place in my cave.

Roden’s customer service kindly responded to me in July and sent my package.
They had some shortage on plastic and/or plastic parts for this kit, which explains the lengthy waiting.
I won’t lie, i was tad worried about my emails not going anywhere, but i’m happy i was proven wrong about my doubts.

After the brief July back and forth, the package got here pretty quick.
Even though i had to pay for customs (probably cause the EU border crossing), which stung a bit, but at that point i was like whatever.

So yeah, can’t wait to start this beast in the future, but first to finish my current projects..
See y’all
