I have an upcoming business trip to Las Vegas, Nevada and Phoenix, Arizona. Any hobby shops you would recommend I stop in and visit in these cities or nearby?

Look for the Champlin Fighter Museum in Mesa. I heard it closed and moved, but I wonder if they moved everything. They had WW I reproduction a/c, and WW II and modern. They had a real nice military gun collection and a T34, among some other things. I think you know where to look in Vegas.
If you’re into science fiction at all there are a couple of (big!) nice models on display at “Star Trek: The Experience” at the Las Vegas Hilton. The “History of the Future” museum there is pretty neat, too.
