I just ran across this on Ebay. I belive it is the highest price I have seen payed for an out of production Classic Airframes kit yet. I have the Mark V in my stash. This could be better than investing in the stock market the way the demand for these kits have gone up lately. I have seventeen of them in my stash though I do not plan on buying to many in the near future with the way these prices are going.

I’ve got 17 of them too, including the Mk I/II Blenheim, the Sea Hornet, and the Whirlwind. And the P-43. Somehow I think if I out any of mine up there the selling price would not approach that.
The funny thing is people are paying that much and they probably won’t even get it built before they re-release it or a new tooling comes out.
That’s me!!! In fact, if anyone sees me buy an OOP kit, you can pretty much plan on it being re-released within a month based on my track record of kit buying. [sigh]

Did you happen to notice that the item was located in the Czech Republic ! Was the price paid in American dollars or was their an exchange rate ? If it was American Dollars I myself would be a little leery about sending my money over there and take a chance on the seller living up to his end of the deal. I guess it might be O K if you want to spend money on a plane ticket to the Czech Republic and track the seller down if you do.nt get the item. If the price was American Dollars the bucks should make that seller pretty happy for quite some time. As always " Buyer Beware ".
Actually it looks like a pretty safe deal. The seller has substantial feedback and plenty of history all good on ebay both buying and selling. But it does mean with the shipping costs the final price will be close to two hundred dollars when the whole deal is done. And the wait will be a little longer to recieve the kit.
