is it the same kit as the first photo?
if it is what a transformation wow
the end result is great

Ditto. Is it the same model? The last shots are spectacular. I would be very happy with the result - none of my re-worked kits ever seem to come off. I particularly like the weathering. Good job.

Fantastic job of ageing. Semper Fi, mike

Wow! That is a spectacular job of weathering and beating up a paint job. It really makes for an outstanding display.

Fantastic weathering job. I assume you used pastels? What was your secret?

Thankyou chaps…Yes I do use powders…the MMP ones…but also for primary and ‘spot’ colours…I use both pastel sticks to grind and pencils for sctratches etc…

The MMPs are great for the techniue seen here (the staining of the surface…I paint on the powders mixed thin into Meths…let it dry well then use a oil dark wash of the same tone…to stain the whole area…
( It combines with the powder grains to form a very dark effect…).
Way to much I thought… so bit of luck really…I decided to wash it off with a soft brush dipped in meths I did not expect the result…I was trying to clean it off…but when I saw it 'developing ’ ,in effect cleaning the areas in patches which looked great…I carried on and got this result

That’s fantastic, great weathering. But as an airplane-guy I haven’t got a clue what vehicle that is.
