Revell's 55/57 Chevy pro sportsman kits question

Hi, new to the forums. Have a question about the Revell 55/57 Chevy pro sportsman kits. Can anyone tell me if the window “glass” is the same on the two kits? I have the version of the 55 with the tinted glass but I want to duplicate the Charlie Carpenter version, which looks to have clear glass. I found a set of the clear glass from the 57 kit but I hate to buy it if it won’t fit. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum robs4516! I don’t know the answer to your question, but I can’t wait to see how it turns out!

Welcome Rob! I’m a fan of the '50s Chevys and I look forward to seeing your builds.

Thanks for the welcome, appreciate it!

First and foremost Rob, welcome to the home, we’ve been expecting you! Haha

Ok so this could be answered in two ways. If my memory serves me correctly(scary I know), when the street burner edition first came out, these kits had clear windows.
Then Revell did a second repop of them and they had tinted glass.
At the moment, I did a quick search via Google and I’m seeing the first edition releases with the clear windows.
If you can get your hands on the original boxing of the Sportsmans 55/57(actual box top photo) you are better off.
They are out there at a decent price. I hope that this helps?

Thanks for the welcome and the information, Mike. I picked up two of the streetburner editions, I don’t remember if I looked at the glass on both. I’ll check and see if one of them has the clear glass. Thanks again.

You are most welcome and any time! Also, for a quick check, look on the side of the box, that’s where they give you a list of what all comes with the kit.
Usually the last line it’ll say what clear parts you get.
