Revell's 1/25th 2n1 69 Nova

Greetings all!
This Nova was built some time ago and was thee first serious build that I did even though it was done out of the box. Definitely out of my realm as I strictly build aircraft and armor.. Who knew?!
When this car was built, at the time, Alclad was having issues with their polished aluminum formula.
Instead of the aluminum having a polished look, it was more of a deep chrome when applied over Tamiya’s black. I really liked how it looked then Alclad fixed the issue.. Nutz
For the body color, I chose Dupli Colors Maderia Maroon Poly(color code NN) and the clear coat was also by Dupli Color. All airbrushed with a fan tip nozzle.
Once the clear was on, I wet sanded it till I was happy then polished it out.
For the window trim, I used bare metal foil.. Such a fun time.
In the one above shot, you can see the Squadron bird in the roof. Pretty proud of that finish!

The color and shine are very rich. The engine compartment is an eye catcher. The yellow traction bars are a nice touch.

Thank you Chris! As this was my first "serious " build, I just wanted to do it right out of the box.
I have to agree, the engine compartment tis nice and there is a lot of room in there for aftermarket goodies!
I wanted a more "scale " finish but what I accomplished, I am pleased with.
The 2n1 series is really nice as you have a lot of choices.
Without the traction bars, the rear seemed to sit rather low more so than the 1:1 scale car.
I have a few more of these kits in my stash so I have some ideas brewing already lol

Nice job, the paint really stands out. I have the 69 Nova Yenko kit, is this the same one?

Thank you so much Nuc! This particular kit is the initial release, a 2n1, stock or dragster.
I have all three of the Novas that Revell did. The SS, the Yenko and the COPO.
