Both of this makers produce a 1/72 Ar 196 floatplane, I’m just wanting to know which is the best? or are they the same kit?
Also does anyone know of any books or websites containing or are about the Ar 196?
stuka, ive built the airfix version and its your typical old airfix kit it needs a lot of work
The emphasis her is on OLD. The airfix kit was originally tooled in the 1960s so will lack the finesse of more modern offerings
What about the Revell germany kit?
many, many years ago I build the Revell kit, and I remember having loads of fun building it. It went really well together. But being so long ago I really can’t say anything about the level of detail and accuracy.
I’m not sure, but isn’t the Revell kit the old Heller kit? If it is, it’s a better kit than the Airfix, but still an older kit (which I have no problem with, cause I’m an older modeler)
The Revell kit has its problems, but it is better than the Airfix kit. I believe that Squadron has a publication on this plane.
Cheers,
Eric
Squadron??? I havent seen any books on from squadron but I have seen one from Schiffer!?
