Revell paint colors

I found this while digging around the other day. Its a cross reference from Revell to other paints specifically Testors. As we all know Revell Germany only lists their paints in their instructions. Taking this chart you can determine the color used. For example the instruction calls for Anthracite Color number 9, on the chart you go down to 32109 and its Anthracite, RAL # 7021, MM #2079 RLM 66. This maybe old news but it wasn’t to me.

You may have to cut and paste but its good info.

Thanks for sharing this guide. I myself have trouble looking for the colors called out in my Revell-Germany kits. I just wish the cross reference with Pactra-Tamiya was included.

Here’s another chart that most may have.A cross ref. for alot of differant paints.

TIA

Mike,

I created a tutorial on how to do that in community assistance, but the admins don’t seem interested in making them a sticky. Here is a link to it:

Mike

Yes, you do!

And you’re welcome, always glad to help out.

This is a great help. I just got a Revell-Germany Connie to build and now I have the needed info – except for one small detail…

Does anyone know of a reference that would allow you do find matches for the all too frequent

75% aluminum, metallic + 25% light gray, silky matt =

75% aluminum (Testors 1781) + 25% Light Grey (Testors 1732)

My guess might be an Alclad Dark Aluminum (ALC-103).

I’d be interested in other thoughts or references.
