Just picked up the new “Echo” Super Bug this week while in Seattle! It’s a great kit compared with Italeri’s but my main problem is that there is a seam/mold line right down the center of the canopy[yuck][yuck][yuck] (kind of like Hasegawa’s 1/48 Radar Attack Harrier). Overall though, I’d get one (actually may get another soon). [:D]
This seam is the result of making the proper canopy cross-section.
It’s actually easy to remove. I use a tri-grit fingernail polishing stick and finish it off with a dip in Future Floor Polish.
I’ll be picking up this kit in the next few days…found a spot in New Hampshire that is selling it for $21…gotta love that.
I also want to get the new Hasegawa 1:48 scale F/A-18"F" kit.
VF-103 ‘Jolly Rogers’ markings…looks great.
I don’t do much in modern aircraft, but the kit looked good in the box at the LHS. As toadwig said, removing the mold line from the canopy is pretty easy.
