[:D] what do u think of the B-52 Stratofortress by Revell-Monogram [?]
If you are talking about the old Monogram Dog model BUFF, then it is a great kit. I have built three of them with at least 3 more to go. Pretty accurate for what is there and a lot of opportunity for addtitional detail from scratch building or after market stuff.

I love this kit! I built one quite a few years ago as “Big Country Bomber” from the 96th Bomb Wing in the SEA camo. Somehow I lost it while moving so I was quite delighted to pick up another just recently. I’ll be doing it as an “Arclight” B-52F.
how praytell will you turn a D model into a F model
I love it, i bought one about a year ago, and used a spray-can for the paint…not a good idea. The paint ran and drop marks appeared. I haven’t had enough time to sand it down (too lazy)
But, i LOVE the kit
I’ve got…um, several, yeah… several, and I’m sticking with that…[:D]
I built one of the early '80’s releases, loved the huge thing, picked up a couple more already built up ones when a LHS went out of business, planning on refinishing one-it’s the first release of the kit.
‘Several more’ [:-^] in the stash and in the very early stages of construction; I’m planning on building the NB-52E, if I can find suitable engine pods. One will be an OOB build, it’s the one that’s furthest along. The finished model makes for a very impressive build, especially if it’s posed with, say, a P-51…
Roger that!
I have built two, one of which is hanging over my head as we speak. I have a few more (thats my story honey and I’m sticking to it) yet to build. The one with the X-15 hung under the wing will be my next B-52. It will have to waite for a dozen or so other projects get finished. For a kit the size of the B-52 everthing fit very well.

What scale is this in?
1-72 scale
Did they ever get sorted out? I remember there was a post about them not shipping ordered and paid parts. I’ve checked several on line stores, and only have seen a ‘coming soon’ on those parts…
I’m not sure if they ever got sorted out. They don’t seem to have much available on ebay right now either. Maybe I lucked out and got the last available set. I received mine in late December and it seems after that things went down hill.
Golden Dragon’s web site is down, however some of their conversions are in stock at Great Models Web Store.
I have the Late B-52H/G conversion and the Early B-52H conversion.
These casting are crude a best and take a lot of work to fill in voids and pin holes, at least it gives you a place to start.
Update, here is a link to Golden Dragon’s web site: http://flyservers.com/members5/golddragpro.com/golddragpro/golddragcat.htm
hmmm… Most of the detail pages come up with “page not found”, which doesn’t inspire much confidence… I’d buy from Greatmodels if you’re going to use one of their kits. I’ve heard someone on here had a bad experience buying direct, which was echoed by others.
I did a “buy it now” on ebay back at the end of Novemeber 04 for a 1/72 resin conversion set for a b-52h. well. I assumed that it was already made and all it had to do was be shipped… well it took until Feb 05 to get it and lots of emails back and forth, “coming soon”, “shipping soon”, ect ect ect…
I dont know how he is now, but I think he was overwhelmed a few months ago

I bet that is a big beast when completed. I have also heard that it’s a pretty decent kit. i might have to add it to the ‘want list’ as soon as I can build a hangar for it!
Here’s a picture of mine taken in 1991 at an Albuquerque IPMS Model Show at the local mall… it is sitting on a standard sized table. Some of the details are not up to current standards, but overall, the detailing is pretty accurate, and the model builds up nice, and just begs for added detailing!

Is the Revell-Monogram #5222 Mitsubishi Zero a worth while kit to build. I haven’t build any Zero yet, but I’ve notice the Tamiya and the Hasegawa kits are the more popular ones to build.
Our local WalMart carry alot of Revell-Monogram models in the 1/48 scale and the Zeros,Me-109G are the plentiful. The Zero has only 29 parts.
