Revell/Monogram F-15 Eagle details

I was wondering if Verlinden’s detail sets will work on the version I have.

Howdy. I have Revell’s 1:48 F-15C Eagle kit my son got for me about 5 years ago. Maybe 4. It got put into storage during some housework before it was started, and got forgot it.[:I]

Well, she’s out of storage. The parts are PURE ORIGINAL release classic Monogram.

Verlinden set # VER1648 is for Revell’s “E” Strike Eagle. Set #VER447 is made for Hasegawa’s F-15C, but will one or the other work with the Revell-o-Gram kit OK?

Or if you know of a better set, I’d really thank you!!![bow] I got to be sure before I drop $30 for one or the other, and find neither will work. Oh, I do know that it has less than half the decals of the original release too. Who makes the absoulute most complete decal sheet for an Eagle? I would like one with every last little marking the real aircraft has.

Sorry I’m aircraft dumb. I’m a Scale Auto guy wanting to refresh his long rusting aircraft skills, and I plan on doing a lot of studying on the Eagle for days, and possibly longer before starting. She’s getting pushed ahead of a Zero after I finish a Revell 1:48 Corsair.

Thanks again, and have a great day.

Please anyone know?[%-)]

According to what i’ve read the sets will work, but will reqire a lot of sanding to make them fit right in the Revell kit

check out this site if you havn’t already, even if it dosn’t answer your question its a great resource, and has reveiws of most AM sets as well as kits, hope it helps

A number of years ago, I used the verliden set on a monogram F-15 A/C. It works just fine, you just need to spend a little extra time on fit.

Thanks, I think I’ll go ahead and spend my next allowance on a set. Yeah, I’m 43 years old, but my wife gives me an “allowance” for kits and supplies.[(-D]
