I know it isn’t as good as most the planes posted here. But I’m also trying a lot of new things that I’ve seen in FSM and this forum. So beat me up gently. I cut off and repositioned most of the control surfaces but chickened out on the slats because they are so thin on this model and I wasn’t sure I could make them look right. I sanded and rescribed the panel lines, Tell me if you think they are to thick. and it was painted with a brush because I’m building a bigger air tank. It is a revell 1/48 me-262.
Looks pretty good to me. The only thing I see is it looks like both the ailerons are down. They move opposite of each other one should be up and one should be down.
Ditto on the ailerons. May I aslo suggest sme flat coat to take down the shine a bit.
Overall looks real nice. I am impressed with the brushed mottle…very effective.
You painted that with a brush? [bow]WOW!! The scribed panel lines look just right. Nice job! [tup]Like Marc said…I think a flat coat would make it look even better.
Just a suggestion…sit the model on a plain background for your photos. The box art and instruction sheet compete with a beautifully done model. [;)]
Again…great work on a fine looking model.

mkhoot thanks for the heads up on the ailerons can’t beleive I missed that broken control cable.[banghead]Wingnut as far as the flat coat, I saw a lot of ref. photos with a more satin finish. My question is was that because of museum lighting or would satin be an appropriate finish for a ME 262.
Brookss, very nice. I’ll third the flat cote comment, unless you prefer the look of the gloss. Overall though, it’s as good as many of the 262’s on these forums, and axtra thumbs up for the rescribed panel lines. That’s what it’s all about…improving your skills as you put out nice models.
Your -262 looks very nice. I have one in my stash, I can only hope it turns out as nice as yours did.
Keep up the good work.
Nice job, especially considering it’s brush painted.
Looks very impressive to me, especially considering you painted it with a brush! From what I can tell, the scribing looks fine; much better than I could do!
