I got this 1/35 kit for Christmas and I wanted to add some pe to it. First of all I’ve never done pe but I have an etchmate and I want to do some and this looks like a kit that needs it.

Now first of all is there any pe out there for this kit, second if there is more than one which should I get, seeing how I’ve never done pe, third what tools (besides and etchmate do I need to do pe.

This is a re-box of the 40 year old Peerless Max M3A1 White Scout Car that has also been re-boxed by Italeri, Testors, Airfix and most recently Zvezda. The original issue came with a canvas top that was deleted and then added back by Zvezda.

Eduard did a PE set for it a while ago. It was #35065, but that set is out of production. They updated the set twice and labeled it for the Zvezda kit, one for the version without the canvas top, #35488, and a newer one for the canvas topped version, #35817. These two sets should be easy to find.

My Revell kit also has the canvas top but has an option for you not to put it on. So since these are for Zvezda which is essentially the same kit, I can use it for the Revell kit?

Yes, you can use any of the Eduard sets for any of the different boxings of the kit. I’d look for the newest issue, it probably has additional fittings added to detail the canvas top some how.

Now does anybody know what tools (I have an etchmate) that’ll make pe alot easier?
