Revell (Germany) Rebox Hasegawa?

I’m looking for a Spit IX and saw a review for one from Revell Germany. It said that the model was a reboxed Hasegawa kit - which is still for sale and costs more. Does anyone know if this is true and if there are other Hasegawa deserters in Revell uniform?

Eric

About your Spit IX, Italeri hase some, also the american aces kit, I personally really want one of those.
About the Revell one, I’m certain that it’s a re-box of something, but I do not know which one,
I’ve heard that’s it’s a Tamiya, a hasegawa, even that Italeri one I just mentioned.
But I can tell you for sure, it’s definitely NOT a original Revell mold.
Must say that it was one of the best kits that I have bought from Revell.
But my ‘skills’ weren’t so good back then…

About the reboxes…
Well, you have the Aichi Type 99 Val, which you’ve allready seen.
the Vought F4U-5 Corsair, kit nmbr 04527
MAYBE the Arado Ar 234B-2/N Nachtigall? kit nmbr 04505
Can’t say which the others ones are. they’re bound to be more.
The ones I have are all of these above, but I also have A Douglas A-20 Havoc from the AMT kit and I have the Focke-Wulf Ta-154, but I don’t know if this is a Dragon mold, I think it is, but I don’t know for sure.

You also have the Albatros D.V. and the Spad XIII, which are Eduard molds.
So many more to name, just need to look around which ones there are.

Yes, it is a Hasegawa Re-box. Revell also re-boxed Hasegawa’s Arado 234. I’m sure there are some others.

Revell/Monogram reboxed the Hasagawa F-4 E, A-4 Blue Angle, the Corsair F-4U5, and the P-38 F/G/H that I remember at the moment.

yeah, it’s a hasegawa rebox.

That spit is a gorgeous kit and yes, a hasegawa rebox… Also look for their 1/32 Bf109K4 and JU87 and the 1/72 Heinkel HE111H6 kit. Those are also nice quality hasegawa reboxings at a fraction of the price

@Ninetalis: the Italeri kit is a rebox of the Occidental kit. quite nice but has some shape issues. I would stil like that Amercian Aces boxing for the decals though (Cartograf, the best!)

I haven’t bought one yet, so I can say what good it is at all, but I really just want an american Spitfire, It’s just so special that the americans wanted to build a british design, and their weren’t really known during the war.

I do have a question though, does anybody know what good the F/A-18 F Super hornett kit nmbr 04509 is?
I don’t think that it is a original Monogram or Revell mold because it is the double seater version,
anybody able to tell me where they got it from and if it is any good?

Regards Ninetalis.

The Revell F/a 18 F is its own mold: google is really helpfull for that:

I was so hoping for a new He115…

Do not hold your breath for that new He-115… you would probably turn purple!

Have you looked at the results you get from google?
It’s not like I haven’t tried or something…
I just said that I need the F version and you only get E versions, which isn’t the same kit at all.

I need review for this one,Kit 04509, A DOUBLE SEATER, not the regular E version…

Regards Ninetalis

i was looking at this kit also. this may help.

@ Ninetalis:

Sure, bottom of the first page of google results: http://modelingmadness.com/reviews/mod/previews/pkplf18fp.htm

And adding the F will indeed enhance the result.

Thanks Randypandy!
finally something with all of the content in pictures.

Regards Ninetalis.

The only Spitfire kit that is actually a Revell mold (ca. 1977) is the current Spitfire Mk II… Monogram had a Spitfire IX first released in 1960’s…

This is also a Hasegawa re-box.

Now that’s one Stuka i’d be willing to make!
I knew this one before, but I just like it,
I would like to build this one to,

The first Stuka A models, with those big wheel protectors…

Regards Ninetalis.

If I were going to build a Ju 87 A, I would definately build the most famous type of them all, the first to be used in battle in Spain, with the “Piggy” Gruppe markings on the wheel covers…
