Revell Gato Class Sub - 85-0384 versus 85-0394

Hi all,

Just after Revell released its 1/72 scale Gato a couple of years ago, I picked one up (Revell #85-0384). Still in the stash however. The other day at my LHS, I noticed the a Gato that had different box art and was numbered 85-0394. Anyone know of what the difference between the two kits are if any? I am assuming it has to be something more than a different looking box art?

Thanks,

RODC

It could very well be the same kit. They have done that on a smaller cutaway U Boat too.

I have the original (submerged on the box art) and I would suspect it is a straight re-release of that one with an updated box. You might drop Revell and email and ask. If you do please let us know what they say.
