Revell FW-190 F8

I’ve just bought the Revell 1/32 FW-190 F8 and all is well at the moment apart from the canopy. Do Revell always put this peace in with everything else because I have a lovely great burr mark down[V] it and it doesn’t look good. Also I took a look at the figure that comes with it and it looks as though it has just escaped from Area 51.

Does anyone know how to salvage a canopy? I’ve heard before about guys using a fine sand paper but that just sounds to the extreme to me. Can anyone help me out on this one.

Lenny

I have had great results with sanding scratches out of canopies with the 4 part nail file/polisher that is available at a beauty supply place or places like Wal-Mart. It goes through successively finer sanding surfaces with the last one giving a high polish. A dip in Future and you should be good to go.

Thanks wing nut

Sorry I didn’t back to before

Might have to put a wig and one of the wifes frocks on for this one [:-^]

Wait until you start snagging your wife’s old panty hose so you can strain the paint for your airbrush. LOL

I worked for a while at Hanes Hosiery, and realized that I could use the sample hose for straining paint. I did get a few strange looks from the ladies in the office as I competed with them for the freebies!

Well what do you know!!! and it’s the weekend as well!!

Now I have an excuse to wear my wife’s gear [B)] oh [B)] oh [B)] oh [B)] Aaagghh!! [xx(]

Just a thought

AHAHAHAHA! That’s very funny! But yes, the nail file should work. And yes, Revell does that with every kit. Sucks, huh?

[:(!] Yep!!! Sucks big time. Will they ever learn not to just through it in?
