Hi all,
Does anyone know if Revell’s 1:48th scale Bf 109 K-4 (#4590) is a reboxing of the Hasegawa kit? I’ve tried Googling for a review of this item but not been able to find anything…
Cheers,
Mike/TB379

Mike I cant say for sure, I built one a year or so ago, but I can tell you its not your typical Revell kit. I didnt have any fit issues with the kit at all, and it didnt have the typical lack of detail that the Revell kits seem to have. I build mostly Revell and this kit was a pleasant suprise.
No the kit is a Revell kit. It has nothing in common with the Hasegawa kit. But it is a nice kit. Mark
It’s the Revellogram G-10 with extra sprues added for the K-4 bits.
Cheers,
Chris.
Hi Randy, Mark and Chris – thanks for the quick clarification! I’ll put a few $$ on this lad, I can always use an extra good quality 109 in the stash (this’ll bring me to about nine new ones…)
Cheers,
Mike
might want to look for the Fujimi 109K4 kit instead. They’re cheap and just about as good as a Hasegawa for less than half the price.

Hi Gary – yep, got one of those too! I turned into a 109-aholic in the last 12 months, it was the Battle of Britain GB quickly followed by the Reich Defenders GB, and suddenly I had to have more of them in my stash. Now I have Tamiya, Hasegawa, Fujimi and Revell, mostly in 1:48 but with a couple of 1:32 as well – I’m all stocked up for the next 109 build as I have (almost, sorta) every mark from E-3 to K-4 on tap.
Cheers, Mike
I have an E-3 setting in the box in dire need of props and a spinner!

Mike, it’s the one I built for the Reich Defender GB.
Except on mine I dropped the flaps.
