Hey guys, I signed up here a long time ago and never really posted. I am just getting into planes so I planes and Military stuff so I thought I would start posting here, i will need help with that stuff when the time comes.
I am on the back end of this one. Some little parts here and there and I have the full body to go.
I still haven’t decided on a body color yet

Tamiya primer, Alclad black base, then lacquer clear

Alclad Stainless Steel

Shaved off the grille detail. I am going to order the grille from R&M of Maryland to accept this PE grille

I am going to use these wheels instead of the kit wheels. i wanted to tuck the rear tires without trimming the quarter panel. It can’t be done with the narrow rear end and wide tires so I used these wheels to modify. Then I ended up building my own tube axle housing, and scratchbuilding the leaf spring u bolts and mounts

Blue Tac is great

Making throttle linkage

fuel line

made the T fitting from styrene rod

Fuel lines made

ignition coil

added some hardware to the starter and alternator

chaos

on to the interior

bare metal foil on first.

Removed the paint afterwards

did the dash too, not so great, but acceptable

used PE washers for the knobs

Weathered the interior

decided to remove the seats and do flocking. It’s my first time using it. I dirtied it up a little bit.

Keys are ready

This is where I am at right now. I glued in the engine, exhuast, subframe, front wheels and rear suspension.

Oh and I used Kosutte Ginsan, or graphite powder, whatever it’s called, on the center console. No black needed, I just polished the plasec first. Applying over white keeps the color tone more chrome. Applying it over black makes it too dark IMO

First off this thing is looking superb!!! I just love watching builds like this with all this talent just splashed everywhere throughout the build. Totally awesome!!!
Secondly: where did you get the terminal ends and teeny retaining nuts from?
I appreciate the compliments.
The terminal ends are actually rod ends from RB Motion that ended up being too big to use for what I orginally bought them for. The nuts are from Scale Hardware. I have had a bunch of their stuff for a while. I don’t get to build often so I thought I better start putting them to good use.
Yes-very impressive build-I am looking forward to what’s coming next
Keys!?. Really, looks great,mike
Thank you guys, i appreciate it.
I pretty much finished the battery tonight. I added the anti-corrosion donuts. Just painted some PE washers. Shaved off the molded in posts and drilled a hole, made the new posts from aluminum rod. PE cable ends from the Model Car Garage set

[:D[ WOW! and HOW! Do you teach classes?
