Revell '29 model a roadster 2n1 wheel instructions

I am having difficulty following the directions for assembling the wheels for model “B” . I’m not using Part 26 for A. Am I supposed to use the ring (Part 160) between the rims and the rubber tires? Is the metal axle pin supposed to be glued to the inside of the rim? The pin is too big to go through the hole in the rim. Is the gear Part 24 supposed to be glued to the inside of the rim?

I like the kit. The parts fit very tight and there is very little excess sprue that has to be filed.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Part 160 is supposed to be a chrome trim ring. It is optional.
That little pin is not :prohibited: supposed to be glued inside the rim. If the hole in the backing plate is not big enough for the pin to go through, it needs to be drilled out or enlarged just enough for the pin to fit through it. The pin is supposed to glue into the front axle. It’s designed that way so that the wheels will still roll.
Yes , part 24 gets glued to the back of the rim. It’s the back half of the rim.
I hope this answers your questions.

Pin goes through part 24. Then glue 24 to 26 sandwhiching the tire 160 is a trim ring that glues to 26.

Sorry I wasn’t clear. I’m using Part 45, so where would I use the ring or not?
Thanks

No ring then. But save the parts in your spares!

Always. Thanks for the advice.

Back again. The steel pins appear to be too long. I’m thinking I need to cut them in half for the front wheels. I’ve tried drilling the holes longer but there’s not enough length behind the original holes to drill very far.
Thoughts?
