Revell 1/76 SdKfz 234/2 Puma

Hello all.

Just finished this little monster for the Vintage GB. This is the first 1/76 I’ve done since I got back into the hobby, and I’m pleased with how she turned out. The kit is a re-issue of an old Matchbox kit, it’s one I didn’t build when I was younger.

All the painting was done by hand using Lifecolour, Vallejo and Mr Hobby paints. Woodland Scenics and Javis Scatter was used for the foliage and road surface.

Thanks for looking.

Mark

Lookin’ good barely looks like 1/76 scale!![tup][:)] But there seems to be alot of gloss, are you gonna dull it down?[?]

That was a great model!

And yours looks well done as well–I really like the look of the vegetation, on the Puma but I must also remark that it’s kinda incongruous to have so much vegetation on a vehicle which is plainly operating in a city environment?

Not a critique of the model, just of the execution of the scene. Love the model though!

Yeah, sorta reminds me of the “Chia Pet” advertised on TV…JUST KIDDING !!!

Actually it is very tough to get foilage camo looking good in ANY scale and yours looks pretty good in braille scale…nice to see some mini-men in your scene as well…nice job…

mg.mikael: After looking back at the pics they do seem a bit glossy, I did put a couple of coats of Vallejo Matt varnish on, think maybe I should have added another.

the doog: Thanks for looking, your work is stunning so it means a lot. I was in two minds whether to add the foliage, after a lot of thought and research I went for it. my reasoning being the vehicle has just entered the outskirts of a town[:-^].

Mansteins Revenge: Once more thanks for looking, your work is also awesome. It’s the first time I’ve done anything as small as the figures and they were a pain in the a**e. Anyway here’ another pic for you.

Thanks again for looking.

Mark, you’ve done that kit proud.

I used to love the fact that the Matchbox armour kits came with their own dio base.

I remember building the Panzer MkIII on the sand dune base.

Karl

Nice work there!

I must admit, I was a little sceptical about the foliage, but understand your explanation [:)]

Matchbox 1:76 kits may be a tad basic, but all said and done the inclusion of a dio base and figures makes them a great fun project.

Cheers

Mike
