revell 1/72 king tiger?

has anyone built this kit recently, was thinking to give it
a go, I usually build 1/35, so not sure how I would get on with the
smaller 1/72

any advice welcome

I haven’t done this one myself but have seen a few builds and they say it is as good as the other new RoG kits.

This is currently the best King Tiger in this scale. Ive not yet built one, but im currently staring at this and the DML kit ive bought, this is a hell of a lot better! I have built the ESCI kit and the Revell one is marginally more detailed with much better tracks:

In terms of building 1/72 scale kits, this ones about as easy as it gets, the sheer size of the tank means that it looks a different scale complared to the T-34 and Panzer III, making painting and detailing easier.

See the article in last months FSM (march 2004). King Tiger “Katbash” by Harvey Low. He used the Italieri upper hull and Revell lower hull, wheels and turret. I don’t think he even needed the Italieri kit. He added alum barrel and PE stuff too. No zim though. All I can say is WOW great article from FSM.
