Hello fellow modellers!
I recently acquired a sample of the Revell 1/72 Snapt-Tite A-10 Warthong model kit (Kit No. 1181). It is a very simple but very nice kit to assemble.
The previous owner lost the decals, which I understand were sticker types; also, the insructions do not provide any painting guides.
Any ideas or suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advace for your assured response.
Take care,
I am sure decals will not be a problem. Decals are probably the biggest aftermarket item for kits. In both cases, google will be your friend. First, google 1:72 A-10 decals, then go to google and set it to image search(right below the search terms window) and google A-10.
Also most decal sets do give you painting instructions.
Cybermodeler.com will have the camo scheme information you’re looking for with the paint name callouts.
It’s a decent kit, I’ve built it with several of my children throughout the years. It’s come with regular decals, peel type stickers and pre-decorated fantasy markings.
I’d just find an inexpensive set of aftermarket decals and use the camouflage painting instructions for the decal set.
The decals will probably cost more than the kit is worth, but you can find inexpensive ones on eBay or ask on aircraft forums like HyperScale and someone who used aftermarket decals might have unused kit decals from an even better model kit available at a minimal cost.
