Revell 1/32nd scale F-16XL‏

I saw a Revell 1/32nd scale F-16XL‏ for sale and I’m interested to find out more details (the good, the bad, and the ugly) as quickly as possible about this from my fellow modelers. Is it worth buying ($60 total) and building and, if so, what can one expect from taking on this unique project? All insights and opiinions are welcomed. Thanks very much!

It is terribly inaccurate. Be prepared to cut, extend, change, and reshape almost the entire airframe.

It seems like it’s not worth spending $60 on a very inaccurate kit. Not to mention the large sum of $$$ for the conversions / add-ons / time etc. to get it to be somewhat accurate. Would you agree?

I agree, don’t waste your money.

Hondo,

Look for the Kingnam F-16XL I believe it’s the same kit as the Revells but not at the reboxing cost, I picked mine up on Evilbay for about $15.00 to $20.00. yes there are some issues like the length and a few others but if you want something intresting in your collection then give it a try.
