Request for T-34 pics

I’ve found a lot of T-34 walkarounds, but they’re all preserved vehicles, most of them, monuments. All of them has their mudguard completely missing or intact. I need pics of “bruised” T-34 mudguards specially the rear mudguards. It is for my T-34 project. Best regards.

José.

There are tons of books out there with pictures of damaged T-34 fenders. Books by Squadron, Osprey, Concord, Tankograd (just to name a few). All of them contain pictures of T-34’s with damaged rear fenders (and are inexpensive).

Use lead foil for the fenders and mud guards. PE is to ridgid and won’t bend realistically like lead does. My source is wine bottles for lead foil, if you don’t drink the stuff go to a bottle recycler and ask to strip it from a few bottles there. The simplicity of Russian tank construction makes scratch built guards a breeze to construct. Keep them off untill just before paint as they will bend from handeling, once crazy glued on bash em’ up, add bullet holes and shrappnell as desired.
