Replacement parts.

Hey, fellas… I did something rather silly last night… [:I] I was stripping the paint off of the forward widscreen of my F-86F and it snapped in half. [banghead] I don’t think i have the resources to vacform my self a new one…

Now i need a replacement part for this, but i’m not too sure where i should go. I already shot an e-mail to global@academy.co.kr (the only address at their website), but i’m not too sure these are the guys who can help me. Have any of you dealt with academy customer service before?

On the other hand, if you guys have one in your spares box or junk pile, and would like to donate it feel free to send me an e-mail! All help would be highly appreciated!

Have the same problem Shrikes. I misplaced the canopy of a 1/48 Academy P-40 and I dont know where to get a replacement. If there is no replacement, I think I will make a wreck or serviced aircraft diorama out of it. [sigh]

I’m actually tempted to buy a second kit, just for that part and a few decals i lost to sweaty hands! [:p] This may be the easier solution, though not very cost effective!

If you tend to buy another same kit, i would suggest that you cut off the wing and tail control flaps and used the 2nd kit cut of control flaps and join them with wires on you 1st model to make it look more real.

I found this F-86F at Lil’s Makati (Quad), but it was the last one… I’m one of the few unfortunates who do not own an airbrush, though i do like the Badger 175 Crescendo… But i’m leaning more towards the Tamiya HG ones for ease of serviceing…

Sorry Shrikes, don’t have that kit in the inventory, otherwise, I’d send it right on over!!

Thanks anyway, Heath!! [:D]
