repair a cracked canopy?

I just cracked a Tamiya 1/48th F-16 smoked canopy. The canopy is in tack with a hairline crack where the mold line used to be. Is there a way to repair this? My loving wife says nobody will see it once I put it in it’s dispaly case. This is a gift and I really don’t want to short change this 33 yr Air Force vet.

The crack will be visible, no matter how you try to repair it. Contact Tamiya customer service for a replacement part.
