I need to remove the fuselage decals from my Dornier Do17z. I put one on crooked and it won’t go down tight, even with solution. It’s been on for over a week. I’ve read all the previous posts, and have tried everything; scotch tape, masking tape, etc, and have tried Swanny’s technique as outlined on his webpage.
I think I may just have to sand them off and repaint the camo scheme.
Have you tried a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol ? I’ve had good luck removing fragments left after using tape. Shouldn’t hurt the paint either, although I would recommend trying it somewhere where it can’t be seen first if I wasn’t sure.
One of the easiest things to do is to take scotch tape, place it on the decal you want to remove. Make sure you have the tape on the decal (press hard on the tape). Remove the tape and loo at that, you have a decal off the car.
