Remember these old commercials?

Found this by accident on youtube. They had some very funny commercials back then:

Heh heh heh! I remember those. And I remember the image quality being about the same, too…

Yep, sure do. I bathe in things politically correct, thank God for Youtube et.al. here!

The commercial I loved- and it is a very old one, from maybe fifties or sixties, was from an auto electrics company. I think it was Autolight, but it could have been Delco or Champion.

Anyway, it was an animation, set to march music, maybe March Militare. There was a large industrial building with a big open door, and out of this door marched first, spark plugs, then things like voltage regulators, and increasingly larger devices, ending up with marching batteries, with mostly bass instruments.

Love to find it on video somewhere, but have no idea of the best search terms to use. Maybe if I were sure of the company…

Underoos! Now there were some bizarre commercials that wouldn’t see the light of day in this day and age. Children of about 8 or 9 (boys and girls) dancing and prancing around in Underoos while singing about the advertised product. You could imagine pedophiles nationwide salivating onto their TV screens. [:D]

“You better get Wild Root Cream Oil, Charlie, it keeps your hair in trim! You know it’s non-alcoholic, Charlie, it’s made with soothing lanolin!”

“Brylcreme, a little dab’ll do ya, Brylcreme, you’ll look so debonair… Brylcream, all the gals will all pursue ya, simple rub a little in your hair…”

“You mean Jiffy Pop pops in its own pan? Now you’re swinging, Daddy, it’s crazy man!”

“Halo, everybody, Halo! Halo is the shampoo, that glorifies your hair, so Halo, everybody, Halo, Halo shampoo Halo!!!”

I could go on and on, but y’all get the idea! Great times past!
