Remember that Concorde Group Build from ages ago?...........

[:D] Yes it’s true! I have actually finished my Concorde at long, long last[:I]

It 's the 1/144 Revell kit and it gave me all sorts of problems, including a 3 month wait for Revell to provide a new windshield![:(!]
This model was built for my mate Dave who wanted to have a Concorde that did’nt look like a toy.(I hope I did OK[:o)]) Even though this is a horrible kit my troubles did’nt stop there, as my friend wanted this bird posed as if it was coming in to land![:0]
This involved, dropping the nose, scratch-building a new inner windsheild, dropping the flaps and modifying the landing to “hang” in flight-No problem![8D]
(said Tango as he lied through his teeth[:D][:D])

Anyhoo, it made a nice Christmas pressie for my pal and he’s happy with it-Phew![:0]

Here’s some pic’s hope you guys like 'em.

darren wow. nice work. you planning any more like it?

joe

looks fantastic darren! 3 months for parts looks like i have wait for parts!

Not for a while Joe-too much work! I think I’ll play with another Spitfire for a while, I’ve nearly finished a MK.VIII which I have to say is a much easier build. Glad you liked the pics,

Darren.

Gettochild,

Real glad you like the model, as this build was for a friend of mine it was worth the wait to see him happy. If this one was for myself, I would’nt have taken so much time.

Thanks for your kind words,

Darren.

Looks like it was well worth the effort. Very nice build.

Regards, Rick

Very nice Tango, convincing pics.

Darren, you did not also a good gift for your friend, but a great and beutiful tribute to this bird. It´s a shame that we can not see him flying anymore.

Pedro

Very nice work Darren.

Thanks for sharing that.

Mike

nice, very nice, Darren!

Beautiful, Darren!

it looks great, darren. how big is it ?

[:I]Thanks guys for all your kind words!

Reggie, this model is in 1/144 scale, so it only measures about 10 inches/200mm long. I usually work in 1/48 scale so this was much smaller than I’m used to. Glad you like the model!

Regards,
