Regia Marina Littorio Class Battleship Roma (trumpeter 1/700)

A build using only spare railing/ladder. Unfortunately trumpeter decides not to include a PE catapult being the only regret. Despite not following trumpeter painting instructions at large (which is good practice given the chance of them being correct is about 5%), I did fall into the trap of the easy way out and painted the wrong number of red/white identification stripes (as per incorrect trumpeter instruction).

Main reference used is the Littorio class bible - The Littorio Class - Italy’s last and largest Battleships 1937-1948.

Added a few platforms which the kit did not supply but should be there for a 1943 version. Also testing out a new photo booth.

Looks very good.

A beautiful ship, a beautiful model, and some of the best model photos I’ve seen. That black background is a total success. The lighting is also excellent. Any tips on how you did it?

That is one of the nicest Romas I’ve seen in any scale.Well done.

It’s seldom to see color and camo at the same time time on any warship. Well done.

YOu have done a lovely job on her. Very nice indeed…Cheers mark

That is amazing work especially in 1/700 scale. I still don’t know how you 1/700 ship modelers can squeeze in that much detail in such a tiny space. That wooden deck and camo scheme just grab your attention.
