Reference For Things That Go Boom

While researching bomb colors, I found this 1947 USN manual on things that go boom. I thought it might be interesting for some people as a reference work.

There is an interesting tidbit for WW2 bomb colors as March 11, 1942 is the last date that bombs were painted yellow at the factories, then I believe they were painted the Army Ground Forces Drab since they were ordnance. For those of you building aircraft after this date, you could mix and match OD and yellow bombs. They were dropping yellow bombs in the Aleutians and over Europe early into 1943 as shown by color films.
