Red/Yellow spinner

I have been thinking of the best way to paint the Red and Yellow spinners on the 357th Mustangs.
The only option I’ve come up with to get a good clean line is use a circle template like this.
Do you think it will work using the small circles?

Keeping it tightly in place is going to be key, and difficult. Otherwise you’ll get bleed through.

Hey Karljeff72, I have to agree with Aggieman. I think you’ll get some bleeding with the template. I tried the template method several times, but I had difficulty with bleed through and keeping the demarcation lines parallel. If you’re interested in how I do my spinners, I posted a quick how-to back in 2017. (Check out my response to Chemteacher’s post regarding the same exact issue. My reply is #9.) The only only change I’ve made to my process since then is I’ll sometimes use very thin strips of Tamiya tape instead of electrical tape.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Yes very true about bleed through.
I have ordered some 1mm flexy tape and a bottle of liquid mask.
Both kits I’m doing are 1/72 and 1/48 from 357th FG.
1/72 is going to be either Passion Wagon or Reluctant Rebel
1/48 is is going to be U’ve had it!
Cheers
