Can someone recommend where I can find a crew to put in a 1/48 scale B25B that I want to display flying?
Legend make a nice pilot/co-pilot set
Welcome aboard Shawn!
I spied a whole crew set from Legend Production but it’s pricey.
Legend 1/48 B-17 Flying Fortress US Bomber Aircraft Crew WWII (8 Figures) LF4816
Whoa… that is pricey. And no ball turret gunner…which arguably would be a challenge and mostly unseen. Nice compliment to the HK kit though.
I know right??!! I haven’t posted it yet but I scored two of those Eduard Bloody Hundredth kits. I may have to pick a set of these guys up.
Thanks, I saw a 5 person set from Legends but I just couldn’t get past the cost.

I’ve gotta say…those do look good…but you’re right…pricey.
We’d love to see a build thread on this B-25 you’re working on Shawn.
What theater markings? Flight gear would vary depending upon theater due to climate and mission profiles.
You beat me to it, Stik! I came back in specifically to ask about the theater! That Legends set would be good for the ETO, but if this is a B-25 flying over New Guinea, the kit would be a little lighter.
@Woody63, I’d look on eBay and similar sites, for old Monogram figures. There was a seated pilot figure who came with the 1/48 B-26 and B-24 kits. He may have been included in the B-25 kits, too. He wore a peaked cap under headphones, and held a clipboard in his lap. You might find that one on eBay.
And the figures Monogram included in the one boxing of their PBY might work as USAAF flight crew in the Pacific, too. Again, if you look on the second-hand market, you may find them.
The other alternative is modifying existing figures to fit what you need.
It’s a Doolittle raider, so pacific theater
OK, I would look at photos for reference to see what the crews wore. There are photos of the Doolittle crews when they were aboard the Hornet, which can give some suggestion of what they wore. Though that’s not as definitive as a pic of the crews boarding the planes before takeout. But the high-altitude gear worn by the Legend figures isn’t really appropriate.
Of course, if you’re hanging the model, then you can ask yourself how visible the figures will be. Do you just need the suggestion of pilot, copilot and bombardier? How close will anyone viewing the model get? Does it become a question more of “I know it’s there, so I want it to be as accurate as possible?”
Hey everyone, longtime subscriber to FSM first time contributor. I have in my stash, the B the J versions. I spent many hours researching the planes and specifically the aftermarket parts. I have found that BNA in Australia and Hannants in the UK have reasonable prices and offer great service. Both have the Legend product and at a less expensive price than EBay. The great thing about Hannants, is if you search say, 61124 (Tamiya F35), they list all aftermarket parts they have in stock for that kit! The great thing about BNA, is they are fast at shipping, usually same day. I’ve been dealing with both suppliers for year, the customer service is great and have NEVER been burned!
