Recommendations for a 1/48 SU-33?

I already asked about the best P-47D kit out there and now I am wondering who makes the best SU-33 kit, or is there even one out there yet?
I may just do the SU-27 instead.
I want to build one of these two planes next and your input is greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, the Su-33 hasn’t been kitted in 1/48 yet, Mike. But for the 27 you even have a choice which one you want to build.

Alright, let me ask then which 1/48 SU-27 is the nicest all around?
I have seen Academy listed but I don’t know the quality of their kits as I have never built one.

Whatever you do, do not get the Hobby Craft one. It’s a piece of [censored]. I started working on it when I got to joining the top wouldnt line up with bottom. So it ended up in the trash. I hear that the academy kit is a pretty decent kit with minimum problems. Hope this helps.

I haven’t built any of the Trumpeter or Academy Su-27s, but I hear the Academy kits have the edge (you may want to check at ARC for some reviews).

No problem Mike. I just dont want you to fall to the same trap I fell into when I bought it. I saw it and said to myself “Hey a Su-27 in 1/48th for $20”. Well the rest is history from there. I did keep the missles for future use since they can be touched up a little easier than the kit.
