Abandoned aircraft

American Weapons in Russia (B/W)

At least ONE of those Mig construction pictures looks fairly exactly like an F5 or a T38, maybe they are mig 38’s, no one has been this close before, Mav!

The only one I could ID as a 29 was the last one, besides that I don’t know the other types of Russian planes. (shrugs)

Aside from that It’s still of intrest seeing them being contructed.[:D]

Eric…

I think all the photos are of MiG 29’s under construction except for two. The smaller aircraft is a MiG AT advanced trainer, the other appears to be the MiG 31 static test article in its torture rack.

In no particular order, and please I have gone to confession and vowed no longer to be mean Bill:

A modern aircraft assembly line is a clean environment with a lot of very controlled activity.

The pictures in color of Soviet troops in “WW2” are at best part of the propoganda photos taken in the '50’s, using old uniforms and equipment. I’ll say tho that I’ve seen 1,000’s and I can’t remember these. Obviously staged, as they all were for years to provide info abt the “Great Patriotic War”.

The b/w look kind of authentic, obviously many are. I like the PBY.

Have you guys heard about the one at Paine Field in Everett, WA. It’s a MIG 29 UB and is nearing completion to start flight testing after being rebuilt in the US. The guy has two more coming to the States this year.
