Nice. I drove some of my R/Cs today, but after a while one of them started acting up, and then I couldn’t get the remote to connect to it. Will have to see what’s wrong later… Seems like the remote is bad.
Well at least you got it out, problem solving can be fun, as well as frustrating.
Picked up Rock pirates shock towers, rock pirates bed, injora tire inserts, I think I got the shocks tuned. 30wt in the front and 37.5 in the rear.
Cool. Turned out mine isn’t broken (yet) after all! It started working again. ![]()
Sweet, musta got a bit of water in the esc I’d imagine.
I wouldn’t be surprised, I think it ended up in water at least once, probably several times.
Ought to be more careful.
Great color! Very cool suspension
Tamiya dark copper, I love it.
Just introduced myself in the Welcome forum and it was pointed out that there was a crawler thread. Thought I’d show you guys the truck that reignited my RC interest after almost 30 years.
It’s a fully printed Landy from 3Dsets. Even the gears in the differentials are printed. It’s not terribly capable, it just sort of lumbers along. More of a trail truck than a comp truck. The fender flares, mud flaps and spare tire are TPU. Everything else is PLA, polycarbonate or nylon. I did have to replace the polycarbonate wheels with steel after breaking them.
I do have a few more “standard” crawlers, one is an Injora chassis that had a printed Jeep body on it until it fell off a bridge. It now sports a Proline Cliffhanger body. I think the frame rails are all that’s left of the original chassis. Then the usual Basecamp, this one with a Proline Sumo body and only a few mods.
Nice looking rig man, I’m contemplating getting a snow plow blade for my old gen8 axe with the raptor body I posted near the top, I got a servo I’m not using. But we don’t get much snow and I don’t want to jinx it, I might sill grab it idk. Would be fun to try to clean the driveway off.
Running in snow is fun, although I really don’t like being cold. Here in the PNW, we don’t get much snow either and it’s usually kind of sloppy which might make it easier to plow.
I have yet another printed truck, a 1/8 scale Morrigan rock bouncer that looks something like your first pic in this thread. My buddy and I each printed one and we ran them in the snow last year. Mine has 5.75" Hyrax tires and it was a hoot watching them pack up and increase the ground clearance enough that my buddy couldn’t follow me with his lesser tired version.
The picture is an axial ryft which is an absolute blast but it really doesn’t get used much. It was a builders kit and unfortunately they quit producing them and bouncers in general are hard to find from what I’ve seen.
